New abrasion resistant board ebaboard 1220

All model making companies and foundries can look forward to this high abrasion resistant polyurethane resin board with excellent dimensional stability.

In cooperation with well-known foundries and model makers working within the automotive industry, ebalta Kunststoff GmbH developed and tested this innovative ebaboard 1220 step-by-step.

During the development phase, all tests regarding requirements and technical characteristics were compared to all relevant available products in the market and yielded to excellent results.

During the test phase on CNC machines in foundry model making, ebaboard 1220 turned out to be the best material regarding dust formation, odour, static electrification as well as related to its surface quality.

On a DISA machine 60.000 off castings have been produced. The result is a visible improvement of values achieved so far. Due to its good edge stability the ribs stay upright and there is no risk of deformation or fracture.

In addition practical tests have been made in cooperation with well-known foundries. In the field of core boxes for example 40,000 pieces were made in cold box processing. No swelling or gas absorption. After multiple tests ebaboard 1220 has successfully been applied in serial production.

Regardless of the application, ebaboard 1220 is distinguished by its high quality and very smooth surface.

In addition good machining and barely static electrification with low dust formation. With a temperature resistance of 86°C the almost odourless board is the perfect material.

The matching system of adhesive, repair putty and casting resin orange completes the application of ebaboard 1220.
