Students of the “Holzfachschule” (professional school for model makers) in Bad Wildungen sponsored by ebalta.
In summer 2015 we had the chance to support 14 students of the professional school Bad Wildungen on their way to the longed for title of a master craftsman. To manufacture their masterpieces ebalta provided different materials for the students.
The application fields ranged from foundry pattern making and body construction to inspection models. A special challenge was the front casting of a foaming mould suitable for approx. 300 castings. The applied material was our casting resin GM 725-7 as well as board material ebaboard PW 920, ebaboard 1400, ebaboard 1200 and ebaboard 1220.
ebaboard 1200 was much appreciated for its good machinability and excellent bonding to the resin. Also the dimensional stability of the material was described as very good. The high abrasion- resistant proved ebaboard 1220 shows a very smooth clean surface and good edge stability. According to one of the students GM 725-7 is dimensionally accurate and well processable. Another student added: “Though working with this resin yet, the easy processing and good result were again amazing. It is very dimensionally accurate and shows no bubbles”.
We are happy we had the chance to support the students with our products and look forward to further good cooperation with the “Holzfachschule” Bad Wildungen and their students.
ebalta wishes the new model making masters all the best for the future!
